[DCAD] Volunteer Opportunity: Join the Fellowship Committee of the IGF Dynamic Coalition on Accessibility and Disability

Dear DCAD Members,

 

We are excited to announce an opportunity for passionate and dedicated
volunteers to join our Fellowship Committee. As you may know, DCAD offers
travel support to people with disabilities with the generous support of
internet pioneer and philanthropist, Vint Cerf and Google LLC. As member of
this committee, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our
coalition by helping to identify and support fellows who will contribute to
our mission of promoting accessibility and inclusivity in internet
governance.

 


About the Role


The Fellowship Committee is responsible for:

*	Developing and reviewing fellowship selection criteria
*	Reviewing fellowship applications and Selecting final candidates for
the DCAD Fellowship
*	Collaborating with other committee members to enhance the fellowship
program

 


Who We Are Looking For


We are seeking volunteers who:

*	Have understanding of accessibility and disability issues
*	Are passionate about promoting inclusivity for people with
disabilities
*	Have ability to work independently and meet deadlines
*	Can commit a few hours per month to committee activities
*	Have experience with fellowship programs (preferred but not
required)
*	As IGF2024 is being held in Saudi Arabia, therefore, to ensure
strong Saudi Arabian representation at the IGF held in their home country,
we're particularly looking for a passionate individual from the Saudi
disability community. You'll play a vital role in spreading awareness of
this opportunity and assisting the DCAD Fellowship Committee in selecting
strong candidates, both from Saudi Arabia and the wider applicant pool.

*	Contribute to the advancement of accessibility and disability issues
on a global stage
*	Network with like-minded professionals and experts in the field
*	Gain valuable experience in fellowship program management
*	Help shape the next generation of leaders in internet governance
