Dear Dr Shabbir,
I'd like to put my name forward as the DCAD Fellowship Mentor for IGF2023.
I am an experienced mentor as well as having extensive expertise in
accessibility in digital and related services.
I was selected as a mentor for APrIGF 2022. I developed and facilitated
a South Asian train the trainer workshop on digital leadership in
Internet governance and digital rights held in Bangladesh in 2022.
https://www.apsig.asia/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Dhaka-Report-public.pdf
I've provided informal mentoring to a number of participants since the
workshop.
Having served on the Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) of the IGF, I
have a strong understanding of IGF processes and have a wide network of
contacts.
As Chair of the ISOC Accessibility Standing Group, I am keen to share
knowledge with emerging disability leaders.
I will be in Kyoto in person for the IGF and can take on all the
responsibilities as listed. I'll offer guidance and insights on sessions
each morning and elicit feedback at the end of each day. I would also
offer an orientation call with the DCAD Fellows before traveling to the
event.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Gunela Astbrink
