[DCAD] Seeking Proposals for IGF Sessions fro 2023 IGF in Kyoto Japan

Dear DCAD Members

I call your attention to the IGF announcement that now is the time to submit 
proposals for sessions to be held at the Global IGF in Kyoto, Japan.  These 
sessions are in addition to our DCAD session that we are given as a Dynamic 
Coalition.  The Deadline is approaching in less than 3 weeks--May 19.  Proposals 
should focus on the eight sub-themes of the meeting. Please note that the 
overall them for the 2023 IGF is The Internet We Want - Empowering All People.

IGF Sub-themes

     AI & Emerging Technologies
     Avoiding Internet Fragmentation
     Cybersecurity, Cybercrime & Online Safety
     Data Governance & Trust
     Global Digital Divides & Inclusion
     Global Digital Governance & Cooperation
     Human Rights & Freedoms
     Sustainability & Environment

Please send all topic suggestions along with speakers and short 1 paragraph 
summaries to the attention of my self and Dr. Shabbir by Friday, May 5, 2023.  
The online form to upload our session proposal is pretty onerous, so we will 
need time to discuss this and ensure that the forms are filled out correctly, 
which is why we have set the deadline of May 5. Depending on the number of 
topics and suggestions we receive we may decide to submit more than one 
proposal, or we may decide to partner with another similar group, so we need 
time to discuss our options.
