Our organization, Team Umoja Youth Association (TUYA), is dedicated to providing educational opportunities to vulnerable children.</p>

<p>Thanks for all these great comments. It is great to hear from

<p>We will work to factor some of them into our Joint DCAD-OER
Session. As many of you know, The IGF Secretariat reached out to
all DC session proposers asking us to collaborate with other DCs
on joint session proposals, considering the limited number of
slots on the IGF programme this year. As the IGF Secretariat and
MAG are responding to the community's request to have less
overlapping sessions and not to end so late this year, the result
is fewer sessions overall, which means that DCs also need to have
fewer sessions. As there are a number of new Dynamic Coalitions,
it means that all DCs must partner with another DC to have a
session on the IGF Program. This year, we will be collaborating
with the DC on Open Educational Content. We are still working on
the revised version of our session, but when it is finished we
will share it with the community.</p>
<p>In addition to this session, we also plan on applying for one of
the hybrid bilateral rooms for our annual meeting and will share
this information with you. These rooms are allowed to be booked
by DCs to host an annual meeting, but will not be listed on the
IGF Program. <br>
</p>
<p>We will also be sharing in the next few weeks a new revision of
the Accessibility Guidelines the small team at DCAD volunteers has
been working on. It will take in many of these suggestions. We
look forward to your engagement on these and other projects. Hope

cochlear implant processors do collect data using the devices
themselves and the apps that we have to use in order of getting
access to some functionality.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Users are not even told about it and nothing is
explained about collecting data.<br>
Is this ethical?<br>
This is just one aspect. </p>

language should be used, although I agree with Lidia that
it may simplify things for all of us to arrange to use
English as a common language for communication on the
list. In the Code of Conduct there is emphasis on respect,
tolerance and fairness. Since I have spent the last 16
years (the first IGF I attended was Hyderabad in 2008) in
an "IGF" context, and the 16 before that in a regional
(Latin America and the Caribbean) context working on
issues of multilingualism and accessibility, this issue of
languages is very important to me. If you think about it
it's very important to all of us since if it's not managed
properly it may deprive us of our rights to speak, and to
be heard.</div>
<div>There is also another issue here. We're missing a great
opportunity.</div>
<div>Over the last 5 years or so the DCAD list has come
alive once a year to deal with Fellowships for the IGF.
Then it goes silent until next year.</div>
<div>This year plenty of DCAD members have expressed an
interest in a proposed workshop on Disability and Data
Protection. We won't all go to Riyadh, we won't all even
manage to participate virtually, but everyone who
responded is "here" on the DCAD list.</div>
<div>So why is this workshop so interesting? Do you have
fears or challenges about data protection? Do you have
good ideas for improving data protection? If we choose we
can share our knowledge and ideas now, on the DCAD list,
help each other and possibly provide a useful resource for
this interesting workshop.</div>
