[DCAD] Memoriam for Gerry Ellis

Hi All,

Today on the DC Coordinating Group call, Markus Kummar who runs the call had a 
moment of Silence to remember our dear friend Gerry Ellis who lost his battle 
with cancer.  The Secretariat prepared this slide, which I attached a photo of 
it and then people gave their remembrances of Gerry.  Jutta Kroll, myself, and 
Dr. Shabbir spoke and Eleonora Mazzucchi from the IGF Secretariat posted the 
following in the Chat

 From Eleonora Mazzucchi IGF Secretariat-- Gerry always ended his email with, 
"If you don't know where you're going, How will you know when you get there?" I 
think it's a perfect encapsulation of the sense of purpose and mission that 
animated Gerry in his advocacy for persons with disabilities. It might even have 
held a special additional meaning for him as a blind person. In any case, I 
think it's something we can continue to draw inspiration from as we continue to 
draw inspiration from Gerry's work.

We then went about our work for the call.

We also wanted to point out to our members that the IGF/UN Team working on the 
Global Digital Compact is having a series of deep dives into a variety of topics 
listed below
